Brisbane: man fined for mooning Queen

14 February: A man was fined $750 in the Brisbane Magistrates Court for mooning the Queen during her visit to Australia last October. The court heard he told police he did it as a political protest to show his contempt for the Queen and elitist groups.

Liam Lloyd Warriner, a bartender from Sydney, pleaded guilty to one count of public nuisance after dropping his trousers and running alongside the Queen’s motorcade for 50m with the Australian flag clasped between his butt cheeks. no conviction was recorded.

Outside court he described the media as “fucking evil,” encouraged the Occupy movement to “rock on”, and said “any self-important, self-propagating elitist, I will happily bare my buttocks to,” he said.
